Geremew Tigabu is an accomplished photographer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with more than nine years of experience in documentary photography and visual storytelling. He began his career as a freelance photographer and later joined the Ethiopian newspaper Fortune as a photojournalist. He co-founded Stops Creative Communication Plc and worked as an Art Director before returning to freelance work. His exhibitions include Addis Foto Fest 2016, Young African Photographers 2018, Capture Addis 2019, Lagos Photo Home Museum 2020, participation in the 2025 New York Times Portfolio Review, and selection for the 2025 Lagos Photo Festival. He is a member of the African Photojournalism Database and a winner of the 2017 Celebrate Africa Competition. He was shortlisted for the Ugandan Press Photo Award 2021 as well as the CAP Prize 2023. His work has appeared in The Guardian, Wired, CNN, and World Press Photo.
